We don't believe there's much point in having a portable outboard if it's going to weigh a ton. That's why Evinrude engineers have used every technological advantage to give you a line of small outboards that run smooth and quiet, with virtually no smoke and even less weight.
The large 305cc engine of the 9.9/15 translates to more thrust, speed and fuel economy than most engines in this horsepower class. In fact, the 15 hp holds the world fuel economy record from Stuart, FL, to Walker's Cay. It also features Forward/Neutral/Reverse shifting and its twist grip throttle integrates an idle speed adjuster so you can dial in just the right trolling speed.

Next in line are our 6 hp and 8 hp models, which are exceptionally lightweight, efficient and portable, with plenty of clean, smokeless power to get you to your favorite fishing hole. These go-anywhere outboards give you features like self-flushing thermostat, fishline cutter, pressure and temperature regulated cooling, plus a whole lot more.
And as reliable as they are practical, these four-strokes feature a built-in carrying handle with Forward/Neutral/Reverse shifting.

Easy-to-pull auto rewind starter makes starting your engine a breeze.
Fuel injection Starting (remote models), QuikStart, plus OIS 2000 on 3-cylinder models and MagFlash CD Ignition on 2-cylinder models make these engines even easier to start.

The oil injection system on our 3-cylinder models has an under-shroud oil reservoir and mixes the exact oil to fuel ratio for you, automatically, at the fuel pump.

Tiller arm models help you control your boat easily and comfortably with throttle and shift controls close at hand. It also uses key switch electric start instead of a push button. The twist grip throttle integrates an idle speed adjuster so you can dial in the just-right trolling speed.

Power tilt and trim is available on the remote 3-cylinder models to give you performance and control that other boats don't have.

The fresh water flushing port on 3-cylinder models makes do-it-yourself maintenance easy - in or out of the water.
